Humane Education will be seeking volunteers to help care for our ambassador animals. We are seeking high school volunteers to come in after school or on weekends to feed, clean, water and spend time with our animals. There is a required commitment of March-June and volunteers may only miss 3 shifts with prior communication to volunteer lead. Volunteers are required to come in on scheduled days and if it is on the weekend, shift starts by 10am and required to stay minimum of an hour and a half, depending on how many other volunteers are helping. Weekday volunteers are required to come in no later than 4:45p.

Volunteers are required to attend an orientation day and commit to learning about new animals as they arrive. They will not be working with the cats and dogs in the adoption center upstairs. Volunteers must be comfortable with handling all animals including, rodents, reptiles and avian. If there is an allergy issue, we can make exceptions.

Volunteer trainings will happen on Friday, March 15th 4:30pm-6:30 pm or Saturday, March 16th from 11am-1pm. If you are unable to attend, please check back for summer volunteer training as training is mandatory.
